Ensuring Dignity for Holocaust Survivors
Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The Organization: KAVOD-Ensuring Dignity for Holocaust Survivors
The Cause: Helping Holocaust Survivors
The Reason: Today, January 27, is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. We honor the memory of the millions killed in the Holocaust. We also want to help make the lives of living survivors a bit better.
The Big Idea: It has been estimated that over 1/3 of all survivors living in the United States are at or near poverty levels. Simply, KAVOD provides emergency aid to Holocaust survivors in need.

In Memory: The Schilit Family is donating to KAVOD in memory of three survivors who have passed away in the last ten weeks: Diane’s father, Sol Lipson, and Diane's aunts, Regina Friedman and Mira Rosenstein. They were all Holocaust survivors from Radom, Poland who rebuilt their lives in the United States. May their memories be a blessing
