Mitzvah Circle Foundation Covid-19 Emergency Fund on Righteous Crowd this Week!
This week we read a double Torah portion, Behar-Behukotai. In Behukotai, God outlines the numerous rewards the people of Israel will receive by following the commandments (mitzvot). Today, we are featuring a Pennsylvania-based organization that performs many mitzvot by meeting the needs of people experiencing poverty, homelessness and serious illness.
Fran Held, Founder and Executive Director of Mitzvah Circle wrote to Righteous Crowd in an e-mail:
We have over 80 new organizations coming to us for support—these are school districts, hospitals and health departments. We have provided 350,000 diapers, 37,000 pads and tampons since March for Covid-19 relief and distributed over 6,500 bottles/bars of soap.
Righteous Crowd is supporting the Covid-19 Fund where the funds will be used to purchase items such as soap, wipes, diapers and period supplies. Mitzvah Circle Foundation works in the Philadelphia/Eastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey areas.
Since it's founding over a decade ago, Mitzvah Circle Foundation has helped thousands and thousands of families. The need for its services has never been so great.
