SAHI - Special Hessed Unit
SAHI - Special Hessed Unit
In honor of Tu BiShvat
The Cause: The SAHI program in Israel, founded in 2009, is designed to empower at-risk youth to help others.
The Reason: We are supporting at-risk teens who are helping others for Tu BiShvat which begins on Sunday evening.
Their plans include:
Packing and distributing special Tu BiShvat food packages to 1,000 elderly individuals and families in need.
A ceremony for planting trees in Jerusalem. The trees will be planted by teams of Holocaust survivors, children with special needs, together with SAHI youth.
This Sunday, SAHI is conducting a special giving day in memory of one of the SAHI teens who recently passed away and will include visiting residents at nursing homes and distributing food to homeless individuals.
