The Blue Card COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund

Assisting Holocaust Survivors in Need

Holocaust Remembrance Day, Yom Hashoah, will be observed this Monday night-Tuesday. In honor of Yom Hashoah, Righteous Crowd is pleased to support the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund of The Blue Card Fund that provides direct assistance to Holocaust survivors in need. Righteous Crowd first supported The Blue Card Fund in May 2019.

In light of the recent global pandemic, The Blue Card Fund has been especially proactive in ensuring in taking care of Holocaust survivors nationwide.

Over 2,500 Holocaust survivors across 20 states, have received essential supplies such as toilet paper, gloves, face masks, prepared meals, and more.

Additionally, The Blue Card is supporting survivors by providing services like therapy sessions via teleconferencing and arranging medicine drop-offs with local pharmacies.

There has also been a drastic increase in requests for The Blue Card's Telephone Emergency Response System units, buttons which are worn either around the neck or wrist, which can be activated in times of emergency. As survivors are home alone, they fear any falls or accidents and are reaching out to The Blue Card to receive a unit.
